I read on the old forum that the RN and RP Saloon windscreens are different and one fits one but not the other. I have tried to find on the old forum but the search comes up with site expired.
Can anyone explain the difference between the two screens, I believe the RN’s where painted and RP’s chrome but also the hinge and corners of the screen are different!
Thanks

Time to go 12volt? |

As the restoration of the Pearl is about to commence I have been giving thought to converting to 12volt especially as an alternator in a 'look alike' body is now available.
The advantages seem to be: no cut-out required, readily availability of components (bulbs, wiper motors etc), doubling the voltage halve the current so wiring requirements are reduced and ancillaries could work better.
However I have yet to identify any disadvantages other than originality. I would appreciate any observations.

Hello all,
My wife and I are currently looking for our first Austin 7 for my 30th.
We had a wonderful weekend driving the PWA7C Lincoln Club Car:
https://lincsa7.wordpress.com/trial-car/first-outing/
This was such a great experience being able to drive one and meet some very friendly A7 owners.
This experience has now cemented the idea of owning an A7 that is road worthy and able to be “trials friendly”.
If anyone knows of any similar(ish) cars for sale then the please get in touch. All help and advice is much appreciated!
We are currently based in Aldershot.
Kindest regards
Alex and Vicky

Hi everyone
Hope someone can help, have recently bought a pearl cabriolet which after a few days in the garage would not start, I have sorted the starting problem including rebuilding the fuel pump and she started first time today! Problem is when the engine is turned off there is fuel leaking from the carb Venturi. I have stripped the carb and all seems ok, but the fuel leak is still there, anyone have any ideas?
