Coventry Climax manifold plates |

I am not sure if the above is allowed here, however, I had several sets of water jet cut plates made for 750 Climax motors when I built mine back in NZ. These are made from thick steel to allow for fabrication of inlet and exhaust manifolds. They come with matching gaskets.

Original fan belts |

There is a 1927 Chummy for sale here in the Seattle area. It sounds like a later engine(coil not mag). Apparently there is deposit from someone in the UK,so the car may be going back. The owner said that when he got the car, it had a leather belt pulling the fan, the belt falling off when the joint fixing failed. Were leather belts originally fitted to early cars?
Best,
Erich

Ulster details/Photographs |

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share some photos of original ulsters under construction/restoration/or in one piece. Any viewpoint wanted but I am specifically looking for photos to do with all aspects of the body and floor pan/firewall/boot/foot well. Ie floor corners, rivet details, swages and folds. This is for reference to construction methods and details. Any visual Information would be much appreciated... the more details I have the better (rivet counter syndrome). I understand this is a bit of an ask and some people may not want to share pictures for privacy and copyright reasons, but thought I would ask anyway. You can always email me or private message me.
Cheers folks.

uncoupled brake balancing - old forum thread |

Trying to interrogate the old forum is difficult as there are some gems, but the images are now often missing. Rob Beck posted this in a discussion about coupled and uncoupled brakes in 2012. If Rob still tunes in or if others have adopted, please would you post a picture of give a better description of what is done please? It seemed to attract brownie points in the thread.

quote was...
"split brakes
Here is a mod i am pleased with... Balanced rear brakes achieved by using a single cable passing through the cross shaft. You cant do this to the later cross shafts with concentric tubes."

Hi all
In the process of building up a new engine for the special and think I need to sleeve the block. Can anyone recommend anyone that can do this at a reasonable cost? Thinking of putting the larger valves in too so any advice on suppliers that can cut the seats etc would be great!
