Hi, Whilst grovelling under the back of the RP, I have just noticed What I will describe as a Rebound Rubber Block attached to the chassis directly over the Rear Axle. One of them is missing.
Can anyone advise what the purpose of this is,(probably obvious from my description), what is the correct description and are they still obtainable. ?

What is the correct pattern of core for a 1930 Seven?
I need to get Adam's radiator re-cored as it is "a bit leaky" & would like to use the correct pattern of core if it is still available.
Your comments are welcome.
Thanks,
M

Prefix letters on body stamping: when did they start? |

A recent thread discussed stamping the prefix BODY letters and body number on the transmission tunnel. Can any one add information to narrow down when this might have begun. Presently, the RL and AF series seems to have general evidence of letters being introduced.
Has anyone got an AE, RK, RF, Coupe or earlier car with any letter stamping on the front of the transmission tunnel?

I've read a number of old forum thread and seen the hook things made out of old spark plugs. But the reference to a "puller" (that screws into the spark plug holes and then has a differential smaller thread which enable it to be tightened down against a plate pushing on the head studs) seems a no-brainer as it requires no other tools or hoist to 'hang' the engine from. And yet there is no futher reference to such, photos or anything.
Does the method work, and has anyone got a simple method of making them which doesn't require lathes or welding...? It can't be rocket science.
