Has anyone got any tips for towing a tourer on an open trailer re what to do with the roof and side curtains.
Clearly up to 40mph should be ok for the roof or is it just best to take the roof down and side curtains of an hope for not to much rain?

We are now unfortunately selling our 1930 RK Saloon, the RK is in an unrestored condition but is in very good solid state, and driving well, if you like you’re Seven as near original as possible this may be the Austin Seven for you. Four nearly new blockly tyres, good spare, the RK has indicators fitted but can be removed very quickly. Windows wind up and down as they should.

Hi all.
A while ago I posted a thread hoping to find the origins of my Australian bodied chummy. After some cleaning and degreasing I located the factory chassis number (49153) I was hoping someone could shed some light on these numbers. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Luke

Bezel for petrol gauge. |

My chrome platers have lost the bezel from my petrol gauge. It's the standard Lucas gauge with 56mm dia bezel from my late '32 Tourer. I think the same gauge was used until 1939. Does anyone have a spare please? Or maybe a scrap gauge with a sound bezel? Condition of brass/chrome unimportant.
Thank you.

Long brake levers |

Would fitting long brake levers to my AB tourer improve the braking? There is certainly room on the front brakes. Adventures out at the moment are a bit too much of an adventure! I've tried roughing up the brake pads but that is not a long term solution. Any downsides?

Austin Seven parts that will fit Rosengart LR4? |

Hi
My name is Michael, I'm from Tiel (The Netherlands) and I'm new here on this forum.
I've just struck a deal on a Rosengart LR42N cabriolet (more about that in due time) but during my search for a nice and not too expensive pre war car with mechanicals I can understand to a certain level (the Rosengart is not my first classic but it is my first kinda vintage one), I've been wondering if and if so what Austin 7 parts will fit a Rosengart LR4 without of with little modification (i.e. cylinder head; intake and exhaust manifolds, double valve springs, remote gearchange, remote oil filter kit, Hardy Spicer prop shaft with UJ's etc) .
Yes I'm aware of the Imperial versus metric threads involved but that is not my issue; (new) Rosengart parts tend to be quite expensive in France so if I can keep the budget down by using Austin 7 parts in some areas.....well... think I've made my point.
I've already seen some posts here by Rosengart owners who obviously have been confronted by the same and similar matters and questions so is there anybody out there who has a list of 'interchangeable' Austin 7 parts both with or without the mods necessary to fit a Rosengart?
I've already queried one of the better known Austin 7 parts supplying specialists but he could not be conclusive in any way .....
Bye for now....
Michael
