Jizer in parts washer... |

I use Jizer in my parts washer cabinet - it has built in rubber gloves not unlike a traditional "blast" cabinet. Every couple of months I have to replace the gloves because they harden to the point that I cannot get them on.
Does anyone out there have a suitable recommendation for cabinet gloves that resist this please?

I am about to put the front wings & radiator shell back on after repainting etc.
The wing datum holes are ok for lining everything up , but what I am not sure about is the order to do it !
Do the support arms go first or should they be fitted to the wings & wangled into place?
I think the rad shell goes on last
I have new piping to put in as well
I plan to put the bolt heads on the outside as this keeps the threads clean, but it may be easier to put them in from the engine side!
How was it done " on the line"? Any ideas?
I have a good selection of bodgers to help line up the holes!!!

I recently replaced the tap on my 1929 Chummy. For some reason from then the Carburetor is overflowing as soon as I open the tap.
As if the float is not doing its job. Any suggestions?

Front Bearing Puller. |

There has been quite a lot said recently about using a puller for the front bearings. You shouldn't have to. Looking at an original blueprint of the crankshaft, the tolerance for the front bearing journal is 1.124-1.125"
I know replacement crankshafts are up on size, so the easy remedy is to rub some off.

Nippy Windscreen bracket |

Hi - should there be a rubber strip between the car body and each windscreen support bracket?
I am in the process of test fitting everything before painting my 2 seat AEW - what is good for the nippy would be good for the AEW.
I can't see any evidence in general Nippy or AEW photos that I have but it isn't something I have been looking out for.
Thanks Peter

Pressurized fuel tank |

Been making up an air pump to pressurize a fuel tank and was wondering if Ulsters fitted with such a fuel system incorporate a pressure relief valve or does the driver just rely on watching the pressure gauge while pumping, my engineering instincts say I should fit a blow off.
This prompts the second question - what pressure to set it at, something low, 2 or 3 Lbs/Sq inch?
