You Hi all,
I am planning to machine new holes and groves in my pressure plate for the clutch toggle. Does anyone have a drawing of the pressure plate so I get the holes in the correct place.
Thanks

I've just purchased a 20's smiths silver faced oil pressure gauge, the flange mount type. It's been butchered a bit by someone trying to remove the needle, which is missing along with it's mounting rim.
Does anyone know a manufacturer of them,or where I can buy one,

De Dion Motor Tricycle Races, Brooklands
Brooklands Museum, Weybridge, KT13 0SL (Satnav postcode for the car park)
10AM - 4PM
Usual Museum admission charges apply.
Not Austin Seven related (other than a chance to check out the ones in the museum), but this sounds too good not to post for anyone who may be interested. Description below is lifted from the Brooklands Museum Website...
Quote:On this day in 1897, the very first British motor races took place when the Motor Car Club, as a first anniversary celebration of their Emancipation Run from London to Brighton, organised a series of races for the De Dion Bouton motor tricycles on the quarter mile oval cycle track at Sheen House, Richmond Park.
The 120th Anniversary commemorations of the first of all British motor races will see at least a dozen Trikes on track in a series of races, from one mile sprints, to the finale which will be the Club's Five Mile Championship race on the Finishing Straight. Furthermore, they will be presented exactly as those first motor races, on a quarter mile oval circuit.
The format of the day will be as in 1897 - practice and fettling in the morning, lunch in the Clubhouse, (with a short talk of how racing started in Britain), followed by the race programme. Come rain or shine, the pioneers will be celebrated in style.
Timetable:
10:00 Museum opens
10:30 Riders’ Signing on and Briefing
11:00-12:00 Practice
12:30 Talk & Lunch in the Napier Room (£15 for shepherds pie & vegetables or vegetarian option + fruit crumble + custard)
14:00 Races, including the De Dion Bouton 5mile Championship
15:30 Awards Ceremony
And to whet your appetites a video from youtube of one of their previous 'Meetings', at Dunsfold in 2014...

This is on the events page but in case Friends have missed it Janet has asked me to put it in as a posting.
Unveiling of a Plaque commemorating the Baptism of Herbert (Lord) Austin at Little Missenden.
Wed 8th of November 2017.
For some time the North Herts Centre, in conjunction with the Austin Seven Club (London), considered the possibility of having a plaque erected at St John The Baptist Church, Little Missenden, Bucks, to commemorate the baptism of (Baby) Austin. At last we have got the go ahead and a plaque will be erected - and unveiled at 2pm on the 8th of November, Austin's birthday.
We welcome all Austin enthusiasts, preferably in their Austins to witness the unveiling.
(Some members of the A7Owners Club will visit the church at midday on Sunday the 5th of November and the plaque will be available for a preview on that day for any who can't make the Wednesday date.)
There's a great Pub, The Red Lion, in the village. Some of us will meet there for lunch then walk or drive the 100 metres or so to the church. The pub can get crowded so we would recommend booking a table. Their phone No is 01494 862876.
So we have an idea of numbers, would you contact ;
Janet Edroff at o1438 723779 janetedroff@ntlworld.com or
Ken Cooke 01438 227354 ken.cooke@ntlworld.com
Hope to see you there,
Regards,
Janet Edroff.

Front hub removal separation |

Hi all
I expect that in my enthusiasm I've jumped the gun somewhat!
Having removed my front axle and mounted it up in a vice, I took off on brake drum, then using a 2 legged puller, gently pulle the whole hub off in one go.
I've discovered of course that the hub is in 2 halves, but doesn't seem to want to separate easily. What is the best solution, I don't want to use heat (yet).
I've not tackled the other side yet, as I thought it best to pose the question. I've consulted Woodrow and looked on the web, but all suggestions are that it should simply separate.
I've since discovered that there is a special puller, but can't quite see that this would make much difference...or am I simply just missing the point?
I'll continue persevering and no doubt learning, but if anyone can suggest the best and only way, I shall be much obliged.
regards
Arthur
