I am looking for one Austin seven 16" wheel for our Grasshopper replica. What I thought were a set of 4 turned out to be 3 decent ones and one scrap one!

What’s the prettiest? |

Sad I know, but what in your opinion is the prettiest A7? Hopefully this post will not create acrimony. (Specials included in the poll) I like the Gordon England Brooklands.
Cheers,
Dave.

bought this on ebay 2 years ago from someone who had had it for 6V - a 1960s one which connects between the sparkplug and the sparkplug top connection in line.
Works really well and nice and small, and also has the electrical connections so you can turn over the start motor remotely.
And even has its instructions with it still!
Been given another one hence £15

Friends' Gallery Picture of the Month - December |

The Gallery is growing, and I thought it might be amusing to bring you a picture each month for wider appreciation.
I'll start with this one submitted by Peter Naulls, since nothing is known about it - maybe someone can add some information? It's obviously a professionally constructed body, so I've put it in the Coachbuilt section, but by whom? The key features I have identified are the long bonnet, which unusually reaches right back to the windscreen and leading edge of the door, the stepped line of the top of the door, and most unusually it's a four-seater. The hood looks like it's in the process of being fitted, so perhaps we are looking at the coachbuilder's premises?
Comments welcome!
Edit: Although the bodywork looks to be new in this photo, the front axle and suspension look a bit weathered, and the front tyres are past their best, so although the car probably dates from 1927-28, perhaps this is a mid-thirties re-body?

Hello.
As many of you know, the Association has embarked on a number of Projects of late. After the wonderful gesture of Association President Bob Wyatt with his gift of the copyright of his book Motor for the Million, one of those Projects is to produce a revised edition of his book to celebrate the Centenary in 2022.
A team has now been put together to focus on this and one of the first things we would like to do is scan and convert to editable text an edition of the book. We have a willing volunteer in Timothy Payne (thanks Timothy!) to undertake this task but I have said to him we will provide him with a decent scanner for his use.
What I am wondering is, is there someone who might be prepared to donate or loan a suitable scanner to Timothy for the task at hand. The scanner would need to be able to scan at at least 300dpi and be 'TWAIN' compliant (though in truth, many scanners would be both of those).
Any offers would be very gratefully received and can be sent to secretary@a7ca.org
vary many thanks in advance
Hugh

Hi everyone from Italy!
I have a worn Austin 7 camshaft 3 bearings, i need to reprofile it and as it will go in a special, i would be happy to have something more racing oriented... let's call it "fast road specifications".
I have emailed pigsty racing but no reply, any suggestion where to do an exchange basis or to have mine reprofiled?
thank you, Emanuel
