Does a definitive list exist of the trafficators  fitted to Austin 7's from 1934? I have original Lucas data but it is far from clear and contradictory on the serial number of some types.

I can’t see any focus for the RK specifically and it feels it could benefit from it?

In searching to RK information recently, I was trying to negotiate the search engine for the old forum (and realised that you can’t link adequately, for bringing old into the new forum), so what about something like this so that people can contribute links as another focus point when users come across something, and see that it could be information made more readily accessible…

First, I would  just like to say a big THANKYOU to Peter Naulls and Colin Dawson for their help in providing photos and advice on this forum for my Ruby interior questions.  Also, what a marvellous piece of kit this forum is - enabling dopes like me to contact people who have such extensive knowledge, experience and information.

My query this time is :- I'm looking for a classic vehicle upholsterer to make a tonneau cover for my Ruby based special.  
Any recommendations within striking distance of Stamford / Peterborough please ?

With the warmer weather, I enjoy being able to spend time checking over the car in comfort prior to more extended use - testing the tightness of various bits, looking for trouble, giving this and that an intelligent shake.  Found that the new battery needed clamping a bit tighter, but otherwise no surprises so far this year.  However, in the past have found unexpected issues - for example, a halfshaft nut that had come loose after ten plus years.  Always good to check if corrosion is starting anywhere new, or if any of those little blighters have made a fresh holes in the woodwork (not ringed with a pencil).  Just opened the sunroof to the sunset and brushed away the cobwebs - well, the forecast is good for the rest of the week...

I am visiting the Gold Coast for a couple of months and wondered if there are any owners in that area.

Hi. I am a newcomer to Austin Sevens and proudly possess a 1932 Tickford Cabriolet.

Drove it out of the garage after winter hibernation (me and it) no Problem but when I came to drive it back in there was no light on the ignition switch and engine turned over but with no sign of starting.

Before I start stumbling around trying to figure out what is wrong it occurred to me that someone might know exactly what the problem is likely to be or point me in the right direction.

I have been hearing rumours coming out of the UK that the Silicone Base gaskets have not been entirely successful for some people, I wondered if those who have first hand experience could provide feed back.
Personally I have used a couple now with complete success, my Nippy has covered 4000miles since fitment and is still completely oil tight, as a result I was surprised to hear negative rumours.

Is their still a national, published, breakdown register?

I am having some 15" wheels respoked, but I am told that the rims are not truly circular. Does anyone know a source for 2.5" by 15" rims at a sensible price.
