Advert image sought
#1
Can anyone help?

I have in my mind a period advert which shows a family with a pram (to the right of the image) walking along a pavement being overhauled by a family in a Chummy. I recall the young lad of the family on foot is looking wistfully at the family in the car. Is that an image that rings any bells with you? If so, do you have a copy of it and again, if so, could you let me know where it was published, please? I would like to track down a copy..

many thanks..

p.s. We watched "Abre Los Ojos" last night, hence I don't put much faith in memory...

No, not that one Chris, I have that - but thanks for the thought.. The image, I would imagine is from the same series and, perhaps, the same artist.

And that is one strange film. After watching that, I would imagine you would doubt anything!

Bingo!!

Now, does anyone have any pointers to where it might have been initially published? (I'm assuming it is an original Austin advert..)

tia..

The Ebay and Etsy listings both suggest the reproductions are from an original Maxfield poster; both this and the other picture posted by Chris would appear to be posters rather than adverts.

Obviously not aimed at the impecunious plebs like me who ran Sevens in the 60s.
