Battery conditioner/charger
#1
Advice please. I am putting two cars into storage. Can someone recommend a suitable battery conditioner/trickle charger that does 6v and 12v please. It has been suggested that CTEK is a good make. Any experiences? Thank you. Les Gammon

Hi Les,
I use Ctek indeed since many years. Excellent.

The Accumate works well for me:

I have an accumate and also a Black & Decker. They both work fine. Both 6v & 12v.

My RN is connected to a CTEK trickle charger when not in use. The 6 volt battery, now almost 9 years old, is still going strong.

Hi Les

I have had both CTEK & Accumate  and I much prefer the Accumate.
2 CTEK units have failed on me.

Anyone tried the Halfords unit? Gets good reviews and is only £25. 6v and 12v.

Hi All

I have a Ctek and an Aldi charger along with a very old Halfords unit.  So far I’ve not had a problem with any of the units.  The Aldi unit looks pretty much identical to the Ctek.

Cheers
