Battery conditioner/charger - Les gammon - 22-12-2020 Advice please. I am putting two cars into storage. Can someone recommend a suitable battery conditioner/trickle charger that does 6v and 12v please. It has been suggested that CTEK is a good make. Any experiences? Thank you. Les Gammon RE: Battery conditioner/charger - Renaud - 22-12-2020 Hi Les, I use Ctek indeed since many years. Excellent. RE: Battery conditioner/charger - Mike Costigan - 22-12-2020 The Accumate works well for me: https://www.optimate.co.uk/products/accumate-6v-12v RE: Battery conditioner/charger - Reckless Rat - 22-12-2020 I have an accumate and also a Black & Decker. They both work fine. Both 6v & 12v. RE: Battery conditioner/charger - Andrew Fallon - 22-12-2020 My RN is connected to a CTEK trickle charger when not in use. The 6 volt battery, now almost 9 years old, is still going strong. RE: Battery conditioner/charger - Nick Turley - 22-12-2020 Hi Les I have had both CTEK & Accumate and I much prefer the Accumate. 2 CTEK units have failed on me. RE: Battery conditioner/charger - Nick Salmon - 22-12-2020 Anyone tried the Halfords unit? Gets good reviews and is only £25. 6v and 12v. https://www.halfords.com/motoring/battery-maintenance/battery-chargers/halfords-6v%2F12v-maintenance-charger-329091.html RE: Battery conditioner/charger - Edgar Lowe - 22-12-2020 (22-12-2020, 06:54 PM)Nick Salmon Wrote: Anyone tried the Halfords unit? Excellent never had a problem RE: Battery conditioner/charger - Howard Wright - 22-12-2020 Hi All I have a Ctek and an Aldi charger along with a very old Halfords unit. So far I’ve not had a problem with any of the units. The Aldi unit looks pretty much identical to the Ctek. Cheers Howard |
