Wrestling with undoing some of the poor-quality work on my new/old AF Chummy: can anyone recommend the best thickness of plywood to use on the inside of the door and the most appropriate "leathercloth" to fit?
Is the aluminium strip still available that fits on the top face of the door? For some unknown reason, the bodger whose hands the vehicle has passed appears to have shortened it.

Thanks, Tony. That's good advice - and appreciated.
What about the strip, is it beading, that goes round the edge of the doors? No Chummy owner I know has put it on themselves. What material so flexible that it can be curved quite sharply, and how is it fastened, pins, glue?
Steve, I bought some aluminium T shaped beading with a curved top to math the original and with careful annealing curved the back edge and mitred the front corner. It looked fine for a “driver” quality car (which all mine are!) and I drilled, countersunk and screwed the beading on.
