She’s obviously going to pass the “attitude” test.
I am reliably informed by a serving officer that test is still in use.

I feel sorry for the constable. Later that same day, he was stopped for directions...

On a separate but related note, I was being followed by one of the big police BMWs last week - it does make you more aware of what you are doing?  Watched my speed, glad I had recently checked the indicators were still working.  I imagined they were running my reg through the computer to check I had insurance?  After a mile or so, when I turned right towards home, they went straight on.

Years ago I was driving a friend's hairy TR8 that he kept garaged at my house - giving it a run - when a police car was suddenly behind me.  So, I went left at the next roundabout into housing.  It followed - so I went around a full 180 degrees at the next roundabout - and it followed me again.  So, I knew they were checking.  Fortunately, all the paperwork was in order and they overtook when I got back on the dual carriageway...

Many years ago I stopped on an amber traffic light and the following Police car came within inches of my rear end.
