Good morning. I'm currently working on RN & RP radiator surrounds and I have found that they have a rubber grommet between the filler neck and the surround. Is this original and if so has anyone identified a suitable replacement?

Perhaps my post wasn’t clear, this is a cylindrical grommet which prevents movement between the filler neck of the radiator and the hole in the surround.

May I suggest an O ring of suitable thickness, or possibly two together.

When I wanted one of these I used a Close Coupled WC Doughnut Washer suitably trimmed to size. £1.48 at Tool Station.

Part number BD 184, when I was employed I just looked in the stores for a suitable O ring.

Result! I bought some 4mm neoprene cord and made an 'o' ring to fit inside the rad surround neck. 'Jobs a good 'un' !!
