Yes, because the rear mounting for the petrol tank is onto the dashboard.

Parazine, do you have a source for the chrome raised counter sunk 1/4 W screws? I can only find SS.

I suspect they are out there if you look long & hard enough, none of the following is exactly right, just what I could find with a 10 minute search.
If resorting to buying screws then plating them I believe stainless can be chromed.
