Came across this eBay listing, which fascinates me. Described as 'larger than an MG TC' (but how much larger?) it is distinctly British in style, yet the registration number is French, looks to be right-hand drive. That front valence is distinctive and probably the best identifying feature; I'm pretty sure it's not MG, Wolseley, Singer or Hillman, which would be the obvious British contenders, so what is it?

Didn't the HRG have quarter-elliptic front springs, therefor no need for that front valence?

One wonders why such a well-proportioned and restorable body has been separated from its chassis … to replace it with what?

Registered in France but the body seems to being sold from California...

Edit to add: look at the Ebay listing and then scroll down to read the description (as I have just done!). Some more background there...
