Hello Tony
I made up a batch of BLIC cams for Chris Gould in Bransgore, he might have some left. Were you looking for a Tufnol or steel one.
If you get stuck give me a shout and I will knock one up for you.

Donald Day may well do caps and the other bits, but he is not cheap.

thank you all.
a couple of leads.
ill give chris a call, its always good to have a chat with him. and its probably well over due to talk to him again.
if not adrian, ill come back to you.
its for my own projects, but i must admit. ive opened 6 blic mags in total now. and i wouldnt be happy useing any of the caps.
what do others do about this, or is it a matter of the cars no longer get used? or just run poorly on what they have.
thanks tony

Tony,
If you come across some high speed points that are spare and a tufnol cam ring, I would be interested too.
Cheers,
Robert.

Tony,
As you say caps are a general problem most of mine are well worn. I have considered making a longer rotor arm and machining the caps but never got round to it.
I believe David Cockran was looking at making new caps at one point.
Thanks

A friend of mine looked into making caps, but it's a complicated shape and very difficult to get material that won't 'leak' the high voltage. Definitely a job for a specialist IMHO.
