Wanting to buy an Austin Seven
#11
Please do join a club and get advice. do not rush to purchase until you have had the chance to decide which model (there are a lot and are very different) will suit you best.
Doing this almost certainly will save you disappointment.

The right Austin Seven for you should give you loads of fun.

As the Membership Secretary of the Norfolk Austin Seven Club I can assure you you would be very welcome as a member.

Please check our website www.na7c.co.uk

Obviously we are not meeting right now, but are happy to talk "Sevens". We have several members in the Breckland area (I'm in Dereham)

Some sound advice above.Join a club, get advice on what to buy and which model you buy. They're are good cars and not so good cars and specials can be variable quality.
What do you want to do with your Seven ?
They are brilliant cars but don't expect one to drive like a modern, get a drive in one first if you can.

Chris,

If the vehicle you've looked at has a central accelerator pedal layout that would suggest to me that you've been looking at a late 1920's / early 1930's Morris Minor rather than an Austin 7. The early Morris Minor's had a central accelerator pedal.

no connection to me - this looks a goodie... with a lower offer?
Is the blue Special the supposed Taylor? It's gone up a lot in price over the last couple of sales... not sure if that is connected with changes to the physical spec or not.
