Hand brake ??

Now starting to move my A7 Ruby.
When selecting reverse after applying the brake Is it normal not to be able to release the brake. Just thought I would ask. My previous post refers to the handbrake

As above no- but do you mean the gear lever is in the way of the handbrake lever or something else ?

This is a common issue if the gear stick has a lot of play in it - bringing it up and over, into reverse, can trap the handbrake and cause the problem you mention.
