Car type:
Reading an article on restoration of Merc SLs and how they easily top a million, its easier to understand when much of the quoted figure is based on the charging rate for the business which is putting in the labour... in hours that paid staff are sitting around unused.
Realistically, how many hours went into that (amazing) car?

Beautifully engineered. I'd love to know what it weighs though, there seems to be quite a lot of metal joining up all those drilled lightening holes.

I've seen the car and it is a masterpiece. I was told, that the owner spared no expense and at times already excellent work was redone for the goal of perfect car.

Exquisite work. I just hope it gets out to play and doesn't languish in a private museum somewhere!

Is it just me who finds this a little hard to understand?
