Ruby Spare Wheel Bracket
#1
Hello Friends

I'm wondering if anyone here has a good version of the bracket to hold the spare wheel in on the Mk2 Ruby? The one I have, is a shaped plate with a bolt through . the condition would certainly damage the newly coated wheel , so before I line it with felt etc, i was wondering if it even was the right thing.

I will upload a picture shortly.

It should look like this, with two pieces of shaped rubber riveted on.

Hi, I have a Mk1 Ruby and it has the same as the one shown in the picture. I did remove the existing rubber and replace it with new and it does the trick. Hope this is useful?

Here's a drawing of the part from the Body Parts manual. See https://archive.a7ca.org/wp-content/uploads/PL_1521.pdf

Amazing - are these in reproduction somewhere?

Failing that - what are the dimensions?

I assume that the bigger pad goes on the tyre?

As far as I know they're not being made new, but you might be able to get one from the usual 2nd-hand parts suppliers.
