Rover used DD SU D3 pre war on 10-20 hp cars. They went to Solex for a short while as SU weren't able to supply from about 1945-47 (all being used by Nuffield I expect).
I have a 1947 12hp tourer with a Solex and a new SU D3 from a post-war Wolseley 14 to fit when the mood takes me...it will need rejetting and an adaptor plate making up, but the linkages are the same as the for the Solex (allegedly!) I think it may be a bigger diameter...
