The SF80 will fit the ARR ruby, is apparently lighter and more energetic, but is not listed as original

Does the part no define the voltage? Is it easily possible to deduce the voltage from the actual units? The later comment about early Ruby units bought for a Riley is interesting; the Riley is 12volt.
