Many thanks Russell, this is just what I was hoping for. My Lucas data references these numbers but presumably the rapid change of models was too quick for Lucas publications to keep pace.
The SF80 seems to have become the standard indicator from the late1930's and was fitted to a whole host of cars. My 1934 Pearl is fitted with incorrect trafficators which just fit the aperture, the original ones are very scarce and I saw a pair change hands at the Beaulieu auto-jumble for £500, they were destined for a Riley for which they were original equipment.
