Both the radiator core and the lights are protected by a mesh screen. That on the radiator is very similar to that fitted to the three Work's cars entered for the '23 Le Mans, being rounded or curved.
The mesh was not sufficient however to stop a stone piercing the core, leading to retirement on lap eight.
Samuelson is behind the wheel with Gordon England alongside.
Once repaired the car was out again in August, at Boulogne this time, with Gordon England driving and his wife as passenger. They finished 9th. The car was deemed a success and so went into production as the Cup model.
