There is no doubt a pro will generally do a better job of it than an amateur, and we certainly have some skilled people we can call upon if you want a classy job.
Depending on your ambitions though it is not quite beyond the reach of a hobbyist with a decent sewing machine (in which I include nearly any hand-wound relic).
I DIY'd the seat back for my Ulster and considered the outlay of about £150 (for a hide big enough to do my Nippy as well) quite reasonable. £2 may be pushing it a bit. Will get around to the seat cushions when I have a bit more free time...
