1923 Chummy - and a competition.

If you're not a Facebook aficionado, you'll have missed this wonderful period picture of a very early example.
Remarkable to think that the basic chassis and engine design lasted almost 17 years; but, perhaps even more astonishing was the number of detail changes made in that time. Hence, nothing from a 1922/3 car would fit a late Ruby (would it?). It's called - "customer development".
Competition: what Austin Seven part, or parts, remained unchanged over the longest time span? I'll kick it off with: sidecreen hinges, used from the first post-pram-hood models until the last of the Open Road Tourers.
