Matt as I understand it, a few years ago Amanda Fain de Salis was at an auction bidding on the well known A7 race car Mrs Jo-Jo, Oliver Way's brother out-bid her and in a gesture of goodwill Oliver offered to build her a bespoke road/race car and the Salamanda Special is the result. Oliver Way is well known for rebuilding old race cars and in his own words 'making interesting things' --> https://www.oliverway.co.uk/. Quite a lot of his details on the Salamanda epitomise the more modern 'Steampunk' genre of manufacture

That's my observation from the Colonies anyway
