I too have one of these early steering wheels for my chummy rebuild that needs some attention.

Mine appears to have been painted various colours over its life including a ‘lovely’ shade of lime green, the internet tells me some form of black plastic paint or plastic dip is the way to refinish them

Can anyone advise what the original finish was on these early steering wheels?
