I have found D140 and EP140 (Hipress) oils are perfectly suited for this application.
EP140 (Hypoid) oil is not suitable for this application.
I jack up the chassis, allowing the axle to hang down freely, and then fill until it just starts to come out of the filler hole, overfilling beyond this is not recommended and may result in oil contaminating the rear brake linings.
