Sump bolt thread restoration

Okay, no problems. Someone in the past was very heavy handed when drilling and tapping my crankcase to 5/16". It's broken through the back of the casting. So the threads are long, and I have no idea how long the original 1/4" was, hence my questions. Thanks.
