No, the exhaust front pipe for a 3 speed engine is different, not only in length but profile as well. The 3 speed cars were fitted with the earlier exhaust manifold and the first part of the pipe descends vertically from the manifold further before turning backwards more sharply. The later pipe can be bodged to an earlier engine but I doubt that the early pipe can be so easily fitted to a late engine, although in the 1950's, anything was possible!
