Hi all, I have fitted the new release bearing to its holder and am wondering if there is a favored modern oil / lubricant that is the current choice for this application. This is for the three speed crash box type of bearing on my '29 AD seven.
Thanks,
Stephen

Engine oil. We are using SAE 30 at the moment.

I use ISO1000 or 680 grade steam oil.
The 680 equates broadly to SAE 140 gear oil, which us Austin blokes should have for axle top up.
