Could someone tell me the length of the rear brake cable on a 1925 Chummy. I am struggling to get the brakes adjusted and am thinking the cables were made the wrong length, the car has recently come in from America.
Mine are the adjustable ones and measure 38" from end of the adjuster to the rear end without the cover.

James, are you saying your cables are too short?

Yes by about 2" !
The cables were attached but with the cam lever sticking up and they were tight, Now I've put the levers in the correct position pointing down the cables are too short.
Something is wrong!
