To put things in another perspective, today's car plants might produce 250 cars on a single shift (more than total production for 1919...) The more popular models perhaps 250,000 cars per year, with a fraction of Austin's workforce. Merely interesting to compare; things have come a long way.

UK Model Ts were assembled in Trafford Park, Manchester between 1911 and 1927; production numbers fluctuated between 6,000 and 11,000 per annum for most of those years.
