Where can I find the history of the three twin cam Austin Seven Racers?
Ken, I think you will have to consult several sources.
I would strongly recommend Geoff Roe's "Bert Hadley, a son of Birmingham", available from the PWA7C. An excellent book not only in relation to your interest. Canning Brown's "Austin Seven Competition History" will cover a great deal. Roland Harrison's "Austin Racing History" is well worth consulting. Bob Wyatt's "The Austin Seven" will give you a useful basis for your spreadsheet. If you have the indices to the A7CA "grey mags" you can find some useful articles. Chris Garner will be along in a minute with the ones I've missed.... I can't think of a single specific history of the twin cams but, if there is, someone will soon tell us! Regards, Stuart

Thank you Stuart!
I think you've about covered them all. Geoff's book is excellent, as is Harrison's. With Canning Brown's you'll have to dig a bit. It just depends Ken on just what information on the three cars you're looking for.

The film "The Pace that Thriills" shows the construction of the Twin Cams in some detail if looking for the internal details

Good stuff, Henry.
Am I right in thinking the Archives holds an original drawing of the Twin Cam engine? Mr. Archivist sir?

You are correct Chris. These two drawings are thought to be by MJ himself....
