Twin Cam Racers - Ken Morton - 24-04-2023 Where can I find the history of the three twin cam Austin Seven Racers? RE: Twin Cam Racers - stuartu - 25-04-2023 Ken, I think you will have to consult several sources. I would strongly recommend Geoff Roe's "Bert Hadley, a son of Birmingham", available from the PWA7C. An excellent book not only in relation to your interest. Canning Brown's "Austin Seven Competition History" will cover a great deal. Roland Harrison's "Austin Racing History" is well worth consulting. Bob Wyatt's "The Austin Seven" will give you a useful basis for your spreadsheet. If you have the indices to the A7CA "grey mags" you can find some useful articles. Chris Garner will be along in a minute with the ones I've missed.... I can't think of a single specific history of the twin cams but, if there is, someone will soon tell us! Regards, Stuart RE: Twin Cam Racers - Chris Garner - 25-04-2023 Thank you Stuart! I think you've about covered them all. Geoff's book is excellent, as is Harrison's. With Canning Brown's you'll have to dig a bit. It just depends Ken on just what information on the three cars you're looking for. RE: Twin Cam Racers - Nick Salmon - 25-04-2023 Not forgetting Martin Eyre's, 'Austin Seven Competition Cars 1922 - 1982 RE: Twin Cam Racers - Lowespeed - 25-04-2023 The film "The Pace that Thriills" shows the construction of the Twin Cams in some detail if looking for the internal details RE: Twin Cam Racers - Henry Harris - 25-04-2023 Some period drawings that may be of interest....... from The Autocar from 'The Classic Twin Cam Engine' by Griff Borgeson RE: Twin Cam Racers - Chris Garner - 25-04-2023 Good stuff, Henry. Am I right in thinking the Archives holds an original drawing of the Twin Cam engine? Mr. Archivist sir? RE: Twin Cam Racers - Archivist - 29-04-2023 You are correct Chris. These two drawings are thought to be by MJ himself.... https://archive.a7ca.org/collections/technical-drawings/item/TD0205/? https://archive.a7ca.org/collections/technical-drawings/item/TD0206/?
