pity it's only JUST missed out on a two letter age-related plate.

A good car that ran well when it last competed. Spec might have moved on, slightly, but that's somewhat academic. I'll be rather encouraged if it makes the asking price Wink .

If my memory is still working correctly it was built by Andy McKernan with significant input from the much missed Nick Wenley, who at the time worked for Arthur Archer and was an excellent and skilled engineer. I can't remember exactly when but I thought that it was before 2006.
Malcolm bought it and competed, successfully as Steve has said. I seem to recall it had a road accident after that, which was probably when it stopped being Cambridge blue.

Charles

Edit to add
Just checked. Malcolm was competing in it in 2002 so it predates 2006

I have a photo I took of it in the paddock at Angouleme with Stirling Moss studying it. I was Malcolm McCoy's mechanic. He won his "race" against much bigger opposition, with his front number plate dragging on the track.
