While scraping away to find the Chassis number on the AD Chummy prior to sending papers off top the DVLA I find there are several ! One matches the scuttle plate, but the other is curious.
Any ideas?

The other number is the original engine number

Hi David,

As suggested above, they are the original engine and chassis numbers.

I thought at first they both had a C in front.

But I think if you clean them a bit more the top number will have C for chassis. And the bottom number will have E for engine in front.

All correct for a change.

Thanks Tony & Zetomagneto...sadly the engine is a bit later ...M79342, and a coil conversion!
