CFR2 Field Coil Fuse - Mark - 03-03-2018 Does anyone know a source for the small 6 amp field coil fuse or suitable automotive 6 amp fuse wire for the CFR2 Voltage regulator? RE: CFR2 Field Coil Fuse - Dave Mann - 04-03-2018 The correct short 6 amp fuses seem to be like hens teeth, there are plenty 10 amp ones around but I don't like exceeding the makers rating so I use domestic plug 5 amp ones which are the correct length. Now I suppose there will be screams of horror at this. RE: CFR2 Field Coil Fuse - Steve Berg - 04-03-2018 I use a 5 amp glass fuse that I bought at the local car electrician here in Fribourg, Switzerland. If the fuse is good for 240v I think it's OK for 6 or 12v. I read somewhere that the other way round can be dangerous since arcingĀ may occur when the fuse blows. Steve |
