Camshaft bush - Tiger - 15-10-2018

I need to modify the camshaft bush securing bolt.
I see the recommended method of drilling and tapping but is it possible or advisable
to do this without removing the shaft ?

Whilst doing this with the camshaft out it is also a good idea to check the camshaft end float and adjust if necessary. Quite an easy job with the cam out.
