I have a Speedex sump on my car but i never fill it to the max 6 pints and usually have 4 pints in it. Doesn't leak as much as tin ones which is why I use it. Disadvantage is attaching it to the crankcase after I replace the engine but hopefully not a regular occurence

Sumps seem hard to come by just at the moment. On my special, when I get a sump, I will add a windage tray and an extension pipe to move the pick up to be more central. That's meant to help with certain styles of driving as Chris put it!

If you have a friendly TIG welder how about fabricating one? 3mm plate with a flange of say 8 mm.
Sounds like a business opertunity for someone if none currently available
