I will check the fit of the VP69 shells in the housings tommorow and check the bore size with a vernier caliper.

RE: Poorly Ruby - Chris KC - 17-06-2024

A quick web search suggests they are Norton con-rod bearings, to suit a 1.75" shaft, so at least in the right ball park.
I found no data for the shaft and housing tolerances, but any decent recon shop (Ivor Searle have been helpful in the past) should be able to advise.

The VP69 shells are a perfect fit in the housing the oil holes line up.
I measured the shells at 1.7490" with an expensive digital caliper.
I measured one of my three bearing cranks at 1.7400" at the centre main.
The other three bearing crank is 1.7245" at the centre main.
I have done some more research and concur that the shells are Norton Con Rod Bearings.
I suspect Stuart Rolt had something to do with these shells as he built a three bearing engine for my father in the late 1970s to early 1980s.
I am pretty sure these were all extra parts collected just in case !!!
