Hi Robert,
The MB guides started to be used when the valve material was changed (ie) stainless steel and others which will seize in cast iron.
So unless you are changing your valves to a higher Spec there will be no benefit, also on a performance engine the running clearance is normally increased as well because of thermal expansion.
Personally i would stick with cast iron.
