Love the guys on the motorbike - Window cleaners ? Probably 19" wheel on the sidecar.

Oh dear that RN has it's sunshine roof covered up and lost it's headlights and running bards and acquired some side lights.

Come on Reckers. Tell us what is the name of that road. Know it will be a challenge.

John Mason.
Would you believe it "Her who must be obeyed" refers to my Ruby as the toy.

Hi John,

Apparently it's Heeley Bottom.

Got there before me. Either Heeley bottom or Woodseats. Probably Heeley bottom because of the points in the tram lines where the road splits between Queens Road and Wolseley Road

(and the fact that it says Heeley Bottom on the second photo!)

Looking at what appears to be a fishtail, the motorcycle combination could be a Velocette…and in the interests of safety, the rider and pillion are wearing a flat cap and a trilby, brilliant!

I'm currently engaged in reinstating an RP sunroof, and I do find it telling that even a 20-year-old car had already lost its original. I can only guess at the detailed reasons, but they don't seem to have been very durable; or watertight; or both.

Before I had my RP, I built a JC "Midge" kit car based on a Triumph Spirfire donor. (The JC Midge was also Sheffield based) - The headlamps came from an O model Bedford truck like the one in the first photo. They came from a beakers yard in Ecclesfield, owned by the Hemingway Brothers. some of you may know of them. They used to have all sorts of ex WD stuff, traction engines etc in their yard. Anyway, here are the headlights (I think the sidelights also came from the Bedford):
