I have never seen an original, but the ebay one looks like a rather poor quality recast to me.

I don't think it's a poor quality re-cast - it looks like it's stamped (the reverse looks concave) so almost certainly original, just in very poor condition.

I agree it looks original but like it has been on the front of a car which followed a gritting lorry for most of its life and was then poorly repaired and bead blasted to clean it up. Having said that I guess by definition there can't have been that many made.
