Winder handle removal woes

Hello Austin Seven friends -

I've looked through the forum to see if I could find any window winder handle removal advise that matches my own handle but seem to have come up empty handed.

The car is a box saloon (I thought RP but maybe not) - door layout is with the window winder at the opposite end to the handle. I have attached some (rubbish) photos to try and show what I can see - the handle looks to be just a 'cast' item (i.e. no plate or release catch at the back) and the chrome bezel ring has a tiny spring between it and the winder handle - that is all I can see at this point.

Does anyone have any clues how I can remove this kind of window winder handle?

Push the chrome disk forward the handle will release,ie compress the spring.
