6v battery supplier

I have just purchased via ebay a 77 a/h type 421 battery from Alpha Batteries. 

Ordered it last Thursday and it arrived this morning. I checked and it is fully charged. Exceptionally well packed (unlike one I had last year from a well-known supplier which arrived in a plastic bag, swimming in battery acid) and with a three year warranty.

I have no connection to the company and it is of course too early to say how long the battery will last but at £71.25 delivered by courier it appears to be very fair value.

Good to know that, Nick. I bought one five minutes ago, before I saw your comment! It does claim to have a three-year warranty.

They are very good batteries and a good supplier. If you have more than one Seven which needs sparks ( or an MGB! ) they will supply two for £132.50 - £66.25 each.

I think it was on the forum that I saw this supplier recommended, and have been well served by them. I once bought a 12 volt battery for a modern and they were good at that as well. (Modern=1985)

I'm glad I read your thread! Ordered 6v battery yesterday at 14.29, delivered at 11.23 to Oxford, 20 hours later, amazing!
As previously mentioned, triple wrapped with nifty makeshift handle to ensure it was transported upright. Now £79.99, but still tremendous value, and I never left the sofa
