My special and big 7 both have full Girling rod brakes. 70 odd years of oil leaks and use have reduced the rubber dust covers to a snotty mess. Can anyone recommend a replacement that fits well. Pete

These are available to the original pattern - I put new ones my car a while ago - perhaps one of the cherished suppliers have them in stock? If not, a search on ebay for AUSTIN SEVEN 7 REAR BRAKE ROD RUBBER BOOT 1938-1939 comes up with someone selling them - usual disclaimers.

If they are the same dimensions as the generic Girling brake rears [Austin p/n 1E7183] then ATDC and Small Ford Spares have them too.

Austin big7 register has them just fitted them
On my big 7 special.
My problem I ask questions that other people don't like?
Like have you got that for an investment or for fun?
