Can anyone tell me what type of seal would have been used originally around the glass of a 1930 RK please?

I’m not sure about originality, but the following worked for me.

I just love that upholstery fabric in the back, I bet that’s not on Jon’s list!
Absolutely beautiful car, what a find.

Hi-jacking this thread a bit!
What are the seals like on the windscreen of an RK? I have what seems to be 1" square sponge rubber, sort of glued in place! There is quite a gap twixt windscreen frame and body opening..... ![]()

[attachment=10433] Does this help? I have used an L shaped rubber extrusion glued to an aluminium strip on the top and found that the foam draught excluder strips for upvc windows work well on the window. Peter

Hi Ruairidh
I used the Woolies trim described by Peter. David I used a bonnet rest rubber over the curved part of the screen frame and screwed it back with a length of half round aluminium. Not sure of originality but it seems to form a good seal. Cheers Howard |
